About Viral Rivalz
You play a washed-up former child star in Los Angeles who starts a podcast with two co-hosts as a last-ditch attempt at relevance. The show quickly gains traction, but a corporation seizes control of it, forcing you and your hosts into an unexpected spotlight. From that point on, you navigate the dual pressures of sudden fame and corporate interference, making choices that either keep your co-hosts grounded or watch them succumb to wealth and corruption. Casual visual novels often explore moral weight in smaller, personal contexts, but Viral Rivalz applies that structure to the machinery of the entertainment industry.
Your choices shape how your companions respond to temptation, and the branching paths reflect whether you can preserve their integrity or lose them to celebrity and money. The game explores what happens when ordinary people become famous overnight and how that shift tests relationships and values.
Version 0.6 is available across Windows, macOS, Linux and Android in English. It suits players interested in contemporary social commentary wrapped in character-driven choices, particularly those drawn to stories about the costs of fame and the weight of influencing others' lives.
Developer's description
A visual novel about fame, fortune, and the perils of social media:
As someone who grew up in Los Angeles, you’ve had everything the city has to offer: a dead-end career as a child star, near homelessness, and total annihilation of your dreams. Now it’s time to cash in and do something so extraordinary that nobody has ever considered it: start a podcast.
But after the podcast is hijacked by an evil corporation, you’ll have to guide your beautiful co-hosts as you all skyrocket to stardom. Enormous wealth and power lies ahead; either help the girls stand by their virtues, or watch them fall to corruption.
